I expected Iowa's 149lb guy to make the 3rd place finals. I didn't expect the 125lb guy to win by pin. The Cornell guy just gave up the pin when thrown to his back.
I also don't expect Kenny Courts to win his 5th place match either. He's performed above expectations and may have reached his limit.

There is still another round. 3rd through 7th place matches still need to be wrestled. After this round it is over until tonight.

Here is the latest. A team gets 1 point for placing 7th, 5th, or 3rd. However, a first place is 4 extra points. If there is a pin, technical fall, or major decision there would be extra team points added. Right now, Ohio State still leads by 8 w/ 4 guys wrestling in the conso (probable 4 points if they all win) and 1 guy in the finals (probable 4 points if he wins w/out bonus points). That means Iowa is most likely to earn at most 8 points.
Ohio State has Kenny Courts and Bo Jordon left to wrestle. I don't believe Kenny will win but truly believe Bo will. If he does (and there are no bonus point wins by Iowa) then tOSU would virtually lock up the title w/out any of the guys winning tonight.

At this point it's starting to look like a lock. I can't watch until tonight. What's the schedule...order of wrestling? When will we know for sure it's ours?

Kenny Courts wins his 5th place match. Totally unexpected!!! Lead is now up to 12 and guarantees the Buckeyes will get at least a share of the title!!!!!

We are up by 12 and the max that Iowa can get if they win by pin in every match is 12 pts. So, even if all 3 of our guys lose tonight (which I highly doubt will happen) we will still be no worse than co-champions
