I have to admit, this is pretty awesome:

Minny and Nebraska had a twitter conversation that resulted in an exchange of "If you win, I'll give you $5, if I win, I get to break a chair over your back."

This turned int a rivalry trophy, and I can only hope it stays one forever.

That is awesome and came just in time. That "freedom trophy" was terribly desperate by the B1G. They can force it to become a recognized trophy simply by hoisting it up at the end of the game by the winning team. I suspect that's how the other (good) trophies gained acceptance.
