Miami lost for the same reason all of the other teams that were beating FSU this year lost and coincidentally why FSU players keep getting away with crimes: they sold their souls to the devil.

I was thinking about that game this morning and I came up with this theory. I suspect the fact that FSU falls down by so much so early plays into their advantage. When a team gets up by a significant margin they change their game plan and start playing conservative. This is in stark contrast to the style that got them their lead. This enables FSU to get back into the game. By the time the team that was leading tries to switch back to their earlier tactic the momentum has completely shifted and they are unable to recapture the game they once had in hand. That's what Miami did last night and I think others have done that as well.

I agree, it was a BAD idea. FSU is too good to try and not lose a game, Miami needed to keep it's foot on the gas. All the turnovers certainly didn't help either.

We also shot ourselves in the foot too many times. Missed XP, missed 26 yard FG, dropped TD by Berrios, and I am sorry, but that tipped pass for a TD was as lucky as I have seen a team get. Miami was 14-20 points better Saturday, and lost to that squinting, retarded cock sucker.

I swear that play was like it was happening in slow motion. At first I was pumped, then the ball hung up in the air for what felt like a half hour. I still cannot believe that actually happened. Throw in the fumble we had in the 4th as well....was our only good drive towards the end, would have been nice to tack on a few points there as well.

I first saw the Longest Yard in high school my freshman year before a football game. We had this real crazy coach of the varsity team who would group the varsity, JV, and freshmen before our respective games to keep like a team unity between the three. He'd tell some pretty off-color jokes and show us movies like that while eating our crappy pasta dinner together. Then during games the different coaches would make references to either the jokes or the movie during the game to keep us relaxed. It was a pretty slick strategy to keep tensions down I thought. It's hard to get bent out of shape during a game when the coach is talking about having the QB throw the ball right at a linebacker's bits on the next play just like they did in the movie.
