They didn't shake hands due to the very brief scuffle before the game.

Edsall said (and I believe him) that none of it was planned, the athletes made that decision on their own.

Diggs pushed a ref in the face, probably on accident but it was still a pretty big error in judgment.

Just pregame nonsense. Both teams jumping around at midfield, then one gets a little too close to the other and pushing/shoving commences. Nothing in particular set it off.

I guess Maryland wants to be rivals with PeeSU, just like PeeSU wants OSU to be their rival.
