Refs want to slow down the game

Ridiculous - they put rules in to shorten the games then someone complains and they extend it. Dumb!

They can complicate the hell out of anything. From an officials point of view it is a simple fix. Ditch the 40 sec. clock. That was dumb to begin with. You have ball boys on each side. Offensive side throws in new ball every play. Umpire spots it and all officials get into position. Referee blows whistle for start of a 25 sec. play clock. Normal jog and hustle is all that is needed. Not going to change for the offense trying to rush nor for the defense trying to slow it down. Both sides play at the same pace of the officials.
