Ohio State vs UNC next year at the United Center.

It is the weekend before Christmas. Part of the classic Ohio State is in. Ohio State vs UNC is 1/2 part of the doubleheader that night. The other game will be Kentucky vs UCLA.



Figured that would be sweet to go to in your town. Ohio State will play Kentucky or UCLA in 2016 and 2017. One of the two in those years(UNC will play the other). In 2016, it will be in Brooklyn, in 2017 it will be in Las Vegas.

UNC in Chicago, Illinois
Marquette(home game)
ACC challenge(not UNC) and is a Road game. SO maybe Syracuse, Pitt, Ville, Duke, etc.


Probably will be the only 3 big games but these 3 >>>> last year if the ACC challenge is against one of the top ACC dogs.

Aren't the match ups in the B1G/ACC challenge based off of where each team finished in their respective conference the previous year?

So OSU would play Pitt?

ScUM vs Virginia
Wisky vs Cuse
MSU vs Duke
Nebraska vs UNC (lolz)
OSU vs Pitt
Clemson vs Iowa

After that it gets hazy due to Maryland and Rutgers.

I don't think it's always worked out that way, but that would make sense. In the 2010-11 year we finished first in the Big Ten, UNC finished first in the ACC. But the following year we played Duke.

I don't think they've ever revealed how they determine the matchups, unless I missed it.

Nope. They usually try to get best matchup, so it is close top vs top but

- One they don't wan the same team playing the same team every year
- Two home/road games. So you can't always do 1vs1, 2vs2, because they both might be up for a road game.



Ex: Maryland finished 7th in the ACC the year before this year and Ohio State ended up playing them. Not only that but Maryland was the last ACC team since Ville, Pitt, and ND were added. So Ohio State played the 10th ACC team last year.

The Big 10 tourney next year is going to be played in Chicago also.

If I had to guess:

1. They look at home/away for each team first.
2. They then look at preseason rankings
3. Use both of those to make the best matchup possible.

Most of the time you're going to get 3-4 great matchups or so but one team might be left out, and this year that was Ohio Staet who ended up playing Maryland. MSU, Michigan, Wisky, and Indiana got to play the best teams this year of the ACC(UNC, Duke, Virginia, and Cuse).
