Major props to them! 31-0 regular season!

I hope they win their conference tourney and go into the NCAA tourney undefeated. Would add more drama to March Madness!!!

34-0 and an #1 seed in the NCAA tourney? I hope so. That is after making it to the FF last year. Very impressive!

Remember the poll I started a few weeks ago? Better chance of happening: Undefeated NFL team or NCAA BB team? Well, Wichita State trying to end that poll soon.

Impressive regular season, but I would hold off with crowning them at this point. A lot of pressure on them come tournament time. They won't be the cinderella sneaking up on teams this year.

I have no clue who they have played but I thought I overheard on the radio our something they have not really beaten anybody?
Still a great accomplishment regardless.

They won @ St Louis who is an top 15 team in CBB right now.

It is a great accomplishment no matter what. If it was so easy, there would be a lot more teams doing it in CBB, but it doesn't happen, rarely.

There have been like 4 since Indiana went undefeated in CBB in 1976.
Indiana State in 1979(MSU beat them in Title game)
UNLV in 1991 (Got beat by Duke in FF(duke won NC)
St Joseph in 2004(got beat in the A10 tourney, then got beat in the Elite 8).


So impressive group to join.

I'm not crowning them, I just said I hope they win their Conference tourney are are undefeated going into the BIg Dance. It will make for another great story line. No matter what, it is still impressive to do in CBB world.

I just want the story of them being undefeated in March Madness. Will be fun to watch that and they will have a lot of pressure on their back.

Illinois almost did it until the very last game of 2005. But then Matt Sylvester hit his 3.

One of the greatest Buckeye wins of my lifetime. Remember watching that game in my basement and on the phone with my friend.

When Matt hit that 3, I went crazy jumping up and down. Then we stopped them, and I celebrated a lot more!

Ohio State gets beat by Penn State. Half of those HS teams can probably play with PSU. lol

The Missouri Valley is usually a decent conference. There is only 10 teams but 4 of them have made the Sweet 16 since 2006.

Creighton was in there until this year, they left for the new Big East.


So half their conference have made a better run than PSU, Minnesota, NW, Nebraska, Iowa, have made in the past decade of basketball.


I'm not saying WSU is #1, no one is better!!! 31-0 in CBB is impressive, no matter what conference. That is 31 straight wins in competitive CBB. This is not CFB where mid majors go 12-0, this is not WBB where the sport is top dominated. This is CBB and this has only happen a couple times in most of the people on this board lifetime. Think about that for a second, if it was so "easy" to do, it would happen a lot more. But it doesn't, for good reason. Like I said, I just hope they're 34-0 going into the NCAA tourney. I think it adds more excitement to one of the greatest sporting events there is.

Is half of their confernece better than most of those teams this year? I don't think so. But I don't care about those teams. What about playing scUM? Syracuse? Duke? MSU? Iowa? Wisconsin? UNC? Zona? UK? KU? Texas? If they played in a power conference, they would have at least ONE opposing team of their quality.

WSU is a good team. But I'm not impressed they went 31-0 playing the teams that they played. They wouldn't be undefeated in the B1G, ACC, or the B12. They haven't played a single team from the the 3 best conferences.

The reason it's so hard to go undefeated is that the talented teams play in tough conferences; home courts + great coaches + great athletes = tough wins. WSU is a well coached team playing in a conference that doesn't have the horses to run with them. They really are an anomaly.

They are just like TCU and Boise State a few years ago. Undoubtedly two great teams, but the level of competition they faced week to week was lacking.

They are really really good.

Well coached and they execute. They play their brand of basketball and they do it well. OSU could learn from them.
