This goes to show you Thad has brought some talent in here and turned the program around. From not having many Buckeyes in the NBA, to now having some very good starters and one close all star. Mike Conley came close to being an all star this year and many think he will be there soon.
Here is your update and rankings of Buckeyes in the NBA.
#1 Mike Conley - MEMPHIS
43GP 34.5MPG 18PPG 6.3APG 2.7RPG 1.6SPG 46 FG% 37 3PT % 84 FT%
The dude just keeps getting better and better. YOu can tell he puts the hard work in. He is an great PG and very close to being an all star. If he was in the East, he would have been. West is loaded. Curry, Parker, Paul. Conley right behind them though. Great year. Great PG. Still young. Great Buckeye also. Always coming back in Columbus and rooting the Buckeyes on, and giving back. Works out in the offseason at tOSU a lot.
#2. Jared Sullinger - Boston
49GP 27.1MPG 13.4PPG 8.1RPG 44 FG% 77FT %
Jared Sullinger is at it again. The dude is playing great. He is a legit starter in the NBA. Look at these last 4 starts from Sullinger: 23.8PPG 13.8RPG. Wow. Wow. Wow. The dude is ON FIRE. The dude like Conley, WORKS HARD AND has high Basketball IQ.
#3. Evan Turner - Philly
50GP 35.2MPG 17.8PPG 6.0RPG 3.8APG 43 FG% 29 3PT% 83 FT%
Evan Turner is having a very good year in Philly. Needs to work on his range but he is having a good year. He has hit some game winning shots this year, and has had some big games. Still think his future might not be in Philly, as they have tried to trade him, but he is having a good 4th year. He will be in the NBA for quite some time though. Leading scorer for Philly.
#4. Kosta Koufos - MEMPHIS
47GP 19.1MPG 7PPG 6.1RPG 1.0BPG 48 FG% 63 FT%
Koufos was traded to Memphis in the off season and is have his 2nd very solid year(Denver last year). He is a legit bench player but the problem for Koufos is Memphis is loaded at PF/C. They're very deep there.
#5 Greg Oden - Miami
7GP 8.4MPG 3.3PPG 2.3RPG 0.7BPG
Miami is working Oden back slowly. He is at least back in the NBA. That itself, is great to see. Still has a long way to go. Will never be the 100% healthy Oden but hopefully he can still have an impact in the NBA. Amazing dude, Amazing Buckeye.
#6 Byron Mullens - LAC
27GP 6.2MPG 2.5PPG 1.2RPG 41 FG% 33 FT%
Mullens signed with the Clippers in the offseason. He plays for a great team but is one of the last people off the bench, maybe the last. Mullens is still in the NBA, so he has that going for him. I think a lot of people thought he would be gone already. But Mullens careers reminds me of former Buckeye Daequan Cook career. Cook played 6 NBA seasons in the NBA(last year being his last, now playing overseas) and had a couple solid seasons(Even won a 3pt contest). This is Mullens 5th NBA seasons and year 1 of 2 in his LAC deal(I think he has a player option after next year though).
Not the greatest but not the worse in the end. Ohio State has 3 legit starters in the NBA and 1 of them is all star talent. When was the last time Ohio State could say that in the NBA?
