I didn't have a problem with it because it came in response to the hate tweets Roby and Philly Brown were taking after the game last night. Herbie was coming to their aid in some ways. He wasn't saying only people who attend a university can be a fan, he was citing that of those folks who talk crap to players (and him) via social media typically have never even stepped foot on the campus of the school they cheer for.
