OJ Mayo and USC--Is This FINALLY the Hammer?

Look, I've always realized that college sports can be pretty dirty, even with our beloved Buckeyes we know bad deals go down behind closed doors here and there like any major university, but nobody does it worse than USC. If Reggie Bush wasn't the nail in the coffin, can the NCAA please finally come down hard on USC after this Mayo case? The evidence seems incredibly strong. However, what pisses me off is if Mayo was a star football player on USC, nothing would happen given USC's significance to college football, but with USC not being so essential to NCAA basketball, the hammer will fall on USC basketball. Oh well, I think this will finally be the first serious action to be taken on USC. Maybe that will clean up their football program.

I saw this on ESPN this morning. They mentioned a two year ongoing investigation into the FB and BB program. It made me laugh out loud. ;D

Not to sound like a broken, but U$C has had two prominent FB players take illegal benefits, and we are not talking about a $500 hand shake, and it gets almost zero coverage. However, five Miami players make a rap CD that says the same s*** you can buy at any record store, and ESPN beat it to death for a week. It pisses me off to no end!

NCAA investigations aren't conducted as quickly as ESPN would like --- the investigation into Bush and now Mayo may take a while, but I'd be shocked if there were no consequences.

They sure did with F$U. They cheated in 2006 and 2007 (that we know of), and they have since been investigated, ruled against, and are serving their penalties. Just depends on how much of a hard on the NCAA has for your program I guess.
