To me, it doesn't matter where tOSU is ranked right now. Win out and they're in. Seeding won't mean much once they're in. I think they can match up with anyone.

Saw a post on twitter that went something like "Alabama will have to lose 2 more games in order to miss the playoff. Clearly the committee took into consideration strength of hype."

I'm glad the Buckeyes are not #1. In fact, I'm glad they are seeing SEC love once again. Anything to fight off complacency is a good thing.

The Big XII has got to be pissed. Their top teams left out again and even bypassed by multiple 1 loss teams. Ouch!

Bucks win out........and it's all good. Just like last year when I predicted the were GUARANTEED to climb from #16 to the playoffs if they win out....this time last year.

Agreed - the Big XII has to be annoyed with those results. I understand the whole SoS thing, but if OSU did not win it last year, is our SoS really any better than Baylor or TCU at this stage of the game?

I am a bit confused how Bama, who lost to a 2 loss Ole Miss team, is ranked ahead of Florida, who lost to an undefeated LSU team.

Overall though, it's whatever. I am fine with OSU at #3, that's where I had em. By season's end, the ESS-EEE-CEE will only get one squad in, as will the B1G, ACC (if Clemson runs the table), and Big XII will get one (if Baylor or TCU runs the table).

Don't forget, that this time last year people were talking about the ESS-EEE-CEE getting THREE teams in. We all know how that ended up.

I don't really care where tOSU is ranked at this point. However, what I do care about is the mindset being displayed by the committee after their first meeting. Their love of Alabama is concerning. Their dismissal of the Big XII in favor of a 1 loss Alabama is also concerning moving forward. Despite what the SEC nut huggers will say, Alabama has only beaten 1 currently ranked team (TAMU). How does that place them above MSU or the 3 undefeated teams in the Big XII? Because Alabama narrowly beat Tennessee at home? Oklahoma (and UF) did it in Knoxville. Because they smoked UGA? Apparently everyone can do that now. Because they beat a 1 dimensional Wisconsin team? So did Iowa and a bad Nebraska team nearly beat them also.
Let Alabama make the playoff and play Clemson. They'll be leaving after the semi finals again.
