I'd go with changing the play calling. If I had a dollar for every time I've exclaimed "wtf kind of call is THAT?!?!" this season, I'd have a butt ton of dollars.

I could not agree more as well. I think the two QB system only works in the perfect situation, and this does not appear to be one. IMO Barrett has shown more over his career, and should be the starter. Also, pulling CJ for the red zone could be yet another confidence killer. I already feel like he is playing tight due to him looking over his shoulder to see if Barrett is warming up after every play.

You want to see sh!tty red zone play calling? Watch a Miami game. Against NU and UC we must have left 40 points off of the board due to changing our play calling in the red zone.
Meyer didn't exactly commit to JT in the red zone as far as I can tell.
Bigger news is more coaching responsibility shifting- Zack Smith was 3rd down and red zone coordinator but not any more or so I have heard.
Also eliminated special packages for certain players and the "need" to make sure everyone gets touches. Produce in the offense or watch someone else do so.

Yep. Just change the play calling. Whoever they have in, call plays based on the talent available and their strengths. Know your players and plan accordingly. Switching JT for Cardale in any scenario won't matter if you don't use them correctly. JT and Cardale are not better than each other. They are just better at certain things than each other. If they want to use Cardale, pound the rock with Zeke and air it out with Cardale using the best deep WRs downfield in space and TEs up the middle. If they want to play JT, block with Zeke and run options with JT using guys like Miller for shorter passes on the outsides. They have two styles...pick one, stick with it, and call the plays accordingly.
