The only problem is that the Niners lose a TON of talent this season, especially on defense.

I assume they will be playing from behind a lot this year, which will limit the amount of touches Hyde gets.

Hyde may get the bulk of the carries but bulk might mean 50%. Kendall Hunter and Reggie Bush will take plenty of snaps.

They will be okay. The defense will still be better than most. Key players were hurt last year and it was a top 10 defense still. Getting Bowman back is huge. It is not going to be top 3 like it has in the past, but the defense will at least still be in the top 15 if it can stay healthy. The only reason they will be playing behind, is because the offense can not score.

The HC is a defense guy. Eric Mangini is the DC and that is where he earned his $$$. There is still talent there.



The schedule is brutal though.
