Since we were talking about it on the game thread and stuff:
I was listening to the Matta talk in show(6PM-7PM) on sport radio today at work. They asked him about that play and what they do in situations like that. HEre is what Matta said(not word for word, I can't remember exact words but a breakdown).
"First you want to pass the ball and get out(Notes that is what Craft did was Scott pass). After that you want to keep passing the ball and taking time off with each pass. If you have a shot at what you consider a easy layup, I'm fine of them taking it"
So I guess he agrees with both but more so agrees with your POV about layup? Doesn't mind a layup ONLY IF you think it is a easy one. He mention Smith makes that 9/10 times and can't really describe what happen. Never seen anything like it and probably will never see something like that happen again. Just happy they were able to play defense afterwards and get the win.
