I could already imagine Shannon Scott at PG, Marc Loving at SG, Sam Thompson at SF, LQR at PF, and Amir at C. That would go senior, sophomore, senior, senior, senior. That team will dominate and there is no doubt in my mind.

Ross is playing himself into a Senior year. He is a guy that wants to go but right now, he is playing himself back to college, especially in a deep draft. That could change but he needs to pick it up.

If Ross, does come back, Matta has a lot of options for a starting lineup:

- First off, Loving is a 4 in Matta lineup. Not a 2. So no change he starts at SG. SF? Possible, but he is a Thomas/Ross type starter in Matta lineup.
- Second. Russell is a STUD SG coming in. Dude is legit one of the best, if not best, SG in the class. 5*, DOMINATED the summer camps. He killed it. He probably could come in day 1 and take Smith spot since he is leaving. He can also play some PG
- Third. Ohio State is LOADED at the wings. They have KBD coming in, another 5*/high 4*, and Tate, another 4*, both SF. They're BOTH HIGHLY rated. I would say KBD is rated higher than Loving, Tate a little below, comparing them to Loving status coming into college.

Anyways if Ross comes back you could see:
PG; Scott/Russell
SG: Russell/ADV/Williams(redshirting this year due to early injury/illness).
SF: Thompson or Loving/KBD/Tate
PF: Ross/Loving/KBD
C: Williams/McDonald/Bell

OR

PG: Scott/Russell
SG: Thompson/Russell/ADV/Williams
SF: Loving/Thompson/KBD/Tate
PF: Ross/Loving/KBD
C: Williams/McDonald/Bell

I could see Matta going this lineup because Russell can back Scott up at PG. So take Scott out, bring Russell in, and then let him them both finish the half together after Scott comes back in the game.

If Ross leaves:
PG: Scott/Russell
SG: Russell/ADV/Williams
SF: Thompson/KBD/Tate
PF: Loving/KBD
C: Williams/McDonald/Bell



Anyways, Ohio State will be DEEP next year and experience. Matta will have a lot of different options for lineups.


The great thing is the Class AFTER this year, could be Matta best class: 2015 has commits already from
4* AJ Harris #15 PG
5* Mickey Mitchell #4PF


2015 in the state of Ohio there are two great prospects. 5* #3 PF Carlton Biggs & 5* #4 SG Luke Kennard. Ohio State are high on both of their list, but are not guaranteed. Kennard is really BIG on Kentucky. A lot of people say Kennard is a more talented Diebler(and Diebler was great for tOSU).

So 2015 could end up being a Kentucky like class if everything falls into place. Matta and Co need a lot of work for it to happen, but I trust them..

Anyways, Ohio State basketball is not going anywhere!
