Just got back from game. tOSU won the first game of the year 89-50.
- Shannon Scott looked good. Jumpers looks better. Made the first 3s in the first 1;30 of the game.
- Ross played bad in first half, picked it up in 2nd half. Still struggle.
- Smith Jr was good. His 3pt shot was money today. Also attack the boards.
- Amir Williams/Trey McDonald still need work. With that said, they're both better than last year. Trey McDonald offense looked a lot better from previous year(where there was none). Still, they both have long way to go.
- Really liked Marc Loving off the bench. I think he finished with 10pts or so, I look at him to give tOSU 7-8pts on average off the bench. Good debut
- Sam Thompson was good again. The potential is still there and he was hitting his shots today. Love his game. Had a couple nice dunks also from Scott.
- Aaron Craft is Aaron Craft.
- ADV had a nice And 1 today but missed the FT. Got quite a bit of time also. no 3's though.
Overall, a good debut. Very good shooting day for Ohio State. The 3pt shot was falling.
This team is going to be a team that wins games by playing great defense and if the 3pt shot is going down. There is no better guard defensive play in CBB. No down low game though so this team will shoot a lot of 3pts. Good news, they looked a lot better today shooting it. These guys were in the gym this year.
