OSU BB lands another recruit

2015 star basketball player Mickey Mitchell, a 6-foot-7, 220-pound wing who can play any number of positions on the basketball floor, has committed to Ohio State, per a number of viable sources and confirmed to Eleven Warriors through a source close to the Buckeyes' program.

Mitchell was one of the country's hottest prospects a year ago but saw his sophomore season derailed by a torn ACL from which he is stil recovering. Mitchell, the younger brother of Buckeye freshman linebacker Mike Mitchell, was on campus visiting Ohio State last weekend and apparently that was enough to seal the deal for the talented athlete from Plano (Texas).

With Mitchell in the fold, Ohio State's 2015 recruiting class has its second member, joining A.J. Harris, who pledged to the Buckeyes two weeks ago.

- As said before, his big bro is Mike Mitchell. LB at Ohio State. For those wondering, they have a younger brother name, McKlinley who will be a true freshman in HS I believe. So, the next Buckeye is already being made. There are 9 kids in the family for those wondering
- When I say freak athlete, I mean freak athlete. Star QB on the team, star SF on the BB team. His dad thinks he might be a better QB than he is a SF! Although I think he said he is giving up FB now and sticking with just BB.
- 6-8 245lb. Great size.

- Ohio State is going to have a top 3 class in 2014. Now Has the potential to have another top 3 class in 2015. Not many programs can do that folks. Thad Matta is on his way to do that, and if 2015 goes the way it can, it will be the #1 class by far. Lets not forget in 2013, Ohio State got 2 4* commits, both highly rated prospects(top 100). Thad Matta/BB coaching staff is KILLING it.

Two commits so far: 4* PG Harris & 5* F Mitchell. If Ohio State can LAND the top 2 OHIO prospects, 5* C Briggs & 4/5* SG Kennard..... WOW! Talk about a class of 2015. Ohio State is high on both Briggs & Kennard class, but nothing is guaranteed with these two because it is a big school competition with them.

The 2015 class just started. As started before, Ohio State would love to add 5* PF/C Carlton Briggs & 4* SG Luke Kennard.


Also, in 2016 is the SG/SF 5* VJ King. The one who goes to LeBron old HS who Ohio State offered before he even turned a freshman in HS.
