Ohio State WBB gets 2 HUGE commits

Looks like getting rid of Foster and bringing in Kevin McGuff has already made a difference.


Ohio State WBB got 3 commits today from the 2014 class.

5* #1 overall prospect/#1 PG in Kelsey Mitchell. From Ohio.
4* #15 overall prospect/#2 P(I don't know what position that is) Alexa Hart. From Ohio.
3* SG prospect in Chelsea Mitchell. From Ohio.

Chelsea Mitchell and Kelsey Mitchell are sisters. Kelsey & Chelsea dad Mark Mitchell is one of Kevin McGuff new assistant coaches on Ohio State WBB staff.

Anyways big day for Ohio State WBB getting TWO top 15 commits today(and one of them being the #1 overall prospect in the class of 2014) and 3 commits total, all from Ohio. From what I've read before, Ohio is a very good state for WBB, only problem was Foster could never get the Ohio girls to stay in state. They would all leave for other programs. Hopefully this is a sign that more Ohio top prospects will stay in state at Ohio State and bring them into a elite program. It only takes a few elite players for that to happen in WBB. This 2014 class will be a start.

Agree Ken. It is time for them to step up and do something. I read they have like 7 ships open for the 2014 class total. There is like 7 players from Ohio alone in the top 100. So this is a good year for them to start, and they did a nice job getting the top 2 in Ohio.

Wow I had no idea Ohio was stacked like this and we were LOSING talent. I assumed we were circling the wagons around the state. wtf foster. I'm glad he is gone.

Foster did pretty well recruiting Ohio until the last couple of years. From what I have heard from a woman that is close to the program, he basically mailed in it the past two years. This Ohio class is one of the best in ages and if Foster was still here, we would have been shut out. We are very fortunate to get anyone from Ohio this year. This was a huge get for the program.
