College Football Trivia - 5k Passing Yards in a Season

Vic's tiebreaker in the over/under contest inspired me to look up this question. In college football, since 1956, there have been 10 players that have passed for over 5,000 yards in a single season. Name those 10 players.

The source I was using for this gave the 1956 cutoff date, but for these top 10, each of them did this 1990 or later. That should help narrow it down a little.

I'll post the correct names here as people guess them.

Keenum, Harrell, and maybe Kingsbury. Ware and Klingler? Seems like these records will cover like four schools because of the offense they run.

The most Chang ever got was 4474. The other 2 are correct.

The most Andre Ware got was 4699. The others are all correct.

The 4 names left on the list all did this since 2000.

Couple interesting things about this list.
Ty Detmer is the only Heisman winner on this list. However, everyone on this list got some Heisman votes in their year of 5k except for #8 and #9.

Out of these 10 people, 4 went undrafted by the NFL, 4 others were drafted in the 6th round or later. David Klingler was the only 1st rounder of the bunch.

I'm going to assume you meant Derek Carr, which is correct. His older brother David only made it to 4839
Landry Jones only made it to 4718.

Kellen Moore never broke 4k. Yes, I'm sure about Timmy Chang. He had 3 years above 4k, but never broke 5k.

Yes, BJ Symons has the record with 5,833 yards in 2003 when he played for Texas Tech.
