She was already out of the car. She was complaining about them wrenching her arm so she "resisted". There is no way any reasonable person could see that as not see excessive force.

She could not touch him with anything else. So it appears she may be going for his legs or groin with her foot or leg. Then he pushes her to the ground. I would too, to get her off her feet. Watch it a few times, her foot comes up and he says something about touching right after.

Looked again, I can see her foot up behind the cop near his groin.

That was frickin' gruesome, especially the cop continuing to push her head into the pavement while she's down.

NCBG... she was a tiny woman. A cop shouldn't use any excuse possible to absolutely drill someone down on the pavement. THey were big strong cops and could have easily detained her without slamming her and continuing to push her into the pavement like OSF mentioned. I'm all for defending cops rights to use force when needed... I think as a society we even need to give them a little lee way to be overcautious... but that is ridiculous.

So they manhandle her the point where her body reacts and then they disfigure her for life. You really think that is reasonable?

Without the entire video, we will never know the true story. If you eff with the cops they will eff back. They thought they had her subdued and she escalated the attack. They should use as much force as needed to get her under control as soon as possible. These same cops would do the same thing to someone to protect you.

She was drunk, who knows what she would do. She was not thinking right. Drunk driving is as serious as walking around with a loaded gun. How many bodies have these cops seen from this activity?

If I walked up to you and kneed you in the groin, what would you do?

I agree that she's resisting arrest. I think that's clear by the way she's squirming to get away when they're trying to cuff her. Then as you pointed out she starts to kick when the cop bends her over.

It's the part that follows that gets disturbing to me. First there's them slamming her to the ground which looks like her head whaps on the pavement. And then later (I guess to keep her submissive), the cop is using the force of his body weight to push her head into the pavement against her likely already broken orbital bone.

Nevertheless, because it's a male cop and a small female suspect, I think it's a video that men and women will view differently.

She was accused of drunk driving, losing control of her van, and then crashing into a bedroom of a home in the Killearn neighborhood.

She crashed into a home!!!

On November 12, a Leon County grand jury ruled officer's did nothing to warrant criminal charges, however the grand jury has asked the Tallahassee Police Department to follow it's own procedures, specifically requiring the police to use the least amount of force as necessary. They also recommended the officers be retrained in communication skills and for better assessment of the size of the person being arrested to identify the most appropriate way to restrain them. - Fine with this! The GJ had all the facts and they do see anything criminal.

The officers were suspended for failing to provide appropriate medical aid. Not that I agree with
