Vonn Bell & James CLark update

Vonn Bell is the toughest one to figure. I said it would be Alabama then but now it appears to be a battle between Ohio State and Tennessee. There is a lot of smoke about a silent Tennessee commitment and I know Bell's parents loved Knoxville, but a reliable source told me that the Buckeyes still have the edge despite the excellent visit to the Vols. I'm going to say Ohio State, but not with a ton of confidence.

Ugh, I don't know what to believe, and honestly I am tired of trying to figure it out with this kid.

If he ends up at OSU, fantastic. If he doesn't, you can't say that Meyer and co didn't do everything they could to get him. It's all up to the kid now.

From what I have read I don't think we land him. I also am concerned about losing Eliot to Missouri. Supposedly he has gone from a soft verbal to OSU to being on the fence.

Per @davebiddle believes that Ohio State will land James Clark after interviewing him for Bucknuts Front Row Radio that airs tomorrow.


Clark is another highly rated WR, 4* prospect on all websites I believe. Would be another nice get for WR class to go with Marshall/Smith/Jacobs.

If they get Clark, does that mean Wilson is out of the picture? I would think Wilson is higher on the wish list than Clark.

DC Withers getting one last in home visit with Bell and his family. Hopefully he can close the deal for Ohio State.

Bell said he will make his decision soon and call the coaching staff and tell them but that is it. He will then announce on signing day.

No matter how you slice it, this is a great recruiting class.

It is top 5 as it sits, and if OSU can close the deal on Bell and either Wilson or Clark, it is going to be challenging for the #1 spot.

A source said that Vonn Bell has the closest rela with Everett Withers of all the DB coaches recruiting him. Not sure if Saban counts.

Common man and tog was sayin yesterday that Ezekiel Elliot was still takin visits and now is on the fence. Also we lost that 6'10" kid from Colorado

Sounds like EE was not happy with tOSU going after Wilson from Texas(Oregon commit). He only took a visit to Missouri, his hometown school, which his dad played at. Little scary but right now looks okay for Ohio State. Hopefully he sticks, EE my favorite prospect of the class. I think he would be AMAZING in Meyer system.

OL from Colorado committed to Arkansas. Looks like tOSU will not take anymore OL unless they get a surprise commit. That means the 2014 OL class is a MUST for them.

I saw on Rivals yesterday that all the analysts still had EE to OSU. Two or three(out of eight I believe) had Bell coming here. EE still sounds like a lock.

I heard the Bama offer was just a rumor and didn't actually happen. His father texted 247 (the originator of the false alabama offer) that his son was not offered by Bama.
