Why not?
The best former Buckeye in the NBA this year was
Mike Conley Jr PG Memphis
13.7PPG 6.5APG 3.0RPG 1.8SPG - 44%shooting 37% from 3.
- Was a huge part of the reason Memphis made it to the playoffs this year and getting the #8 seed. Breakout year and Conley is showing why he was the #4 pick a few years ago. Very good year.
Greg Oden C Portland
Mikey Conley former Center at Ohio State and HS. Missed the whole year. Not good. Injuries killing his career. He really needs to find a way to stay healthy.
Daequan Cook SG Oklahoma City
43GP 5.6PPG 1.7RPG in 13.9MPG 44%shooting 42% from 3
Early in the Cook was nowhere to be found and some thought maybe his NBA career will not be too long. Then he took off and become a solid bench player for Oklahoma City who is the #4 seed in the West. Really turned his year around and like I said become a good rotation guy who can come in and hit a 3. Solid year for him.
Evan Turner SG Philly
7.2PPG 3.9RPG 2.0APG 43%shooting 32% from 3
The #2 draft pick of this year struggle. Even came at a time where he didn't play at all for a few games. He had games where he showed off his talent and other games where he looked lost. His team is #7 seed in the East playoffs and will get a chance to go up against Miami in the first round. Maybe they can pull off the big upset and make a lot of people here happy.
Kosta Koufos C Denver
50GP 8.7MPG 3.2PPG 2.6RPG
Koufos doesn't get a lot of time. He did play for Minnesota earlier in the year getting a little bit of time. At the end of the year for Denver he played in the last 3 games averaging 14.3PPG. But once again KK is one of the last guys on the bench for another year. At least he is getting paid.
BJ Mullens C OKC
13GP 6.5MPG 1.9PPG 1.8RPG
Yes Mullens played in 13games and that is not cause he was injured. Once again for him he played some time in the DLeague and spent the rest of his time mostly on the bench. Last game of the year he played 29MIN and scored 10points 5rebounds.
Michael Redd SG Bucks
10GP 13.4MPG 4.4PPG 1.2APG 0.8APG 40% shooting
Redd in his last year of his contract with the Bucks made over 18million. He missed most of the year due to injury but came back late and played 10 games. Was good to see. Not the same Redd as former but he got to put on one last show for the team he has played for his whole career. He had one great career in the NBA and was a 2nd round pick also!
Mike Conley and Evan Turner will be playing their first time in the NBA playoffs today.
