I wrote this, BTW.
vs. Hawaii W 56-10 = +22 points for me Prediction to Result.
With no Colt Brennan, and losing many receivers to the NFL draft, Hawaii's bullets are out of the gun, so to speak. Although this game would have been interesting to see with them all at Hawaii, against Florida weak secondary, it's just not the case this year. Florida rolls, 45-21
vs. Miami W 26-3 = +2 points for me Prediction to Result. Up 24 Total
Miami is still a year or two away from being a legitimate contender in the ACC, let alone the Florida game this year, or next. Many can agree here, and even in the state of Florida that, the Gators are in the top spot of the state. Miami is still lacking what is needed to knock off the Gators, and simply can't score enough points to keep up. Florida rolls, 38-17
@ Tennessee W 30-6 W, +20, total of +44.
One of the tougher games this year. But with a new OC, and QB, much, if not all of the weight will have to be on Adrian Foster. The Gators run defense isn't as suspect as the pass. The Gators have a BYE week before this game. I like Urban Meyer's chances with a BYE week. I think at Neyland, this game gets interesting... But the Gators still win, 28-24
vs. Ole Miss W 31-30 L
Can't afford a hiccup here, but it's very possible. I don't see it happening at the Swamp, and Ole Miss is predicted to be 5th in the SECW. Gators should roll, 35-14
@ Arkansas W 38-7
Don't be confused... This isn't the same Arkansas team from last year. No McFadden, No Jones, New head coach... They are predicted last in the SECW, and just because they are at home, it doesn't offer them any help. Florida rolls, 38-10.
vs. LSU W 51-21
I've said it many times already about this LSU team. It's not the same. Key losses on offense and defense hurt them, Flynn, Perilloux, Hester, Doucet, Steltz, Highsmith, Jackson, and of course Dorsey. This is not the same team. And this is at the Swamp. The last capable LSU team so walk into the Swamp (JaMarcus Russel and Co.) got embarrassed. Remember, if Florida stops LSU on just 1 of those 4th down conversions last year, they are not the NC. Florida wins big, 31-14
vs. Kentucky W 63-5
Kentucky gets thrown back under the barn this year. No Woodsen, no Chance. We will see them again in another 4 years when they resurge. 42-10
Georgia W 49-10
The Game everyone is waiting for. Not much needs to be said. I have no idea who is going to win this game. But I bleed Blue and Orange, so I'm picking the Gators. This is going to be a Bloodbath, emotions will be running super high, and it could get crazy. Urban Meyer has already said there will be a rebuttle to last years' "dance party". For the sake of scoring... and a great game, I say Gators win, 42-41.
@ Vanderbilt W 42-14
Many people who follow this series will be surprised at the many many close calls Florida has with this team the past 4 years or so. But that was with the presense of Earl Bennett. Arguably the best SEC Receiver in conference history. This is still going to be a hard game for the Gators, since Vanderbilt always likes to stick around, and keep it very very interesting. At Vandy, it could be a hiccup game. But we steal a win, 21-17
vs. South Carolina W
The game last year was supposed to be a great game. At Columbia, OBC having that team prepared... it was an embarrassment to OBC and the USCe team. But now they have the two healthy twin linebackers... And thats about it. At the Swamp I give them not much of a chance, but anything could happen (see 2 years ago). Gators feed OBC his 4th loss against his alma mater, 28-17
vs. Citadel W
Yeah...... 56-10
@ FSU W
Bobby Bowden has this program in shambles. He wants another championship before he leaves, but it just isn't going to happen. He is still using his prowess from the 90's to recruit kids... but many of these kids don't remember Bowden's glory days! It isn't working, and the longer Bowden stays at FSU the better for Florida, and Miami, and the rest of the Country. Florida dishes out another handy butt whoopin to the Noles, 42-13.
That makes the Gators Undefeated. And it is not too outlandish. The schedule is very favorable. Add Auburn instead of Arkansas, and we have another story. Barring any hiccups, this schedule is more than winnable. If we are undefeated up to the Georgia game, and beat them, I don't think there is any doubt in my mind who is going to be in the NC game, at least 1 half of it.
If the Gators' defense can improve in the secondary, just a bit, we are a very scary team. Our team will average over 28 points per game, which is MORE than enough to win every ballgame. But the defense just needs to be there.
Penalties is another black eye for the Gators. Lets see them handle those, and get back to a respectable ranking in that category, and then this offense really will not get held back.
As for Trophies, Tim doesn't win the back-to-back, without injuries to Moreno or Wells (God Forbid)... but don't forget about Percy Harvin. A Reggie Bush prototype. He will rack up the Rec TD and Rush TD... It could be a special year for Harvin if he stays healthy, which is a problem for a stallion like himself.
Okay, flame away.
