Martin, who was provided unprecedented access during the 2007 season, interviewed more than 40 players at Florida, Utah and Bowling Green, and he paints a portrait of Meyer that often reads more like a recruiting pitch."


One intriguing part in a quote-heavy book is Meyer's response as to how to approach the 2008 Georgia game, specifically addressing the Bulldogs picking up a much-hyped celebration penalty after their first touchdown in a 42-30 win last season: "That wasn't right. It was a bad deal. And it will forever be in the mind of Urban Meyer and in the mind of our football team. ... So we'll handle it. And it's going to be a big deal."

I really can NOT wait for that game... It is going to be top 2 of the year, Between tOSu vs USC, and UF vs UGA (which is always a great game)... it's going to be a game you don't want to miss.

All UGA needs to remember is the outcome of the last 18 games... 15 of them have been Losses dealt out, by THEE Florida Gators.

I agree with you about those two games, they should be exciting.

What I don't understand is.....why is Urban & the team rehashing
last year's game with a statement like that.

They erased the celebration penalty by winning the game, so it
should pretty much be forgotten.

I look at it as a pitcher throwing one high & tight to a batter,
then - on the next pitch, the batter launches it into the stands.
It pretty much forgotten, no reprisals needed.

Georgia won. So the celebration tactic appeared to have worked that day. Which is why the resentment is still there.

Florida is going to pound Georgia....I'm not sure there's ever been a more over-hyped & undeserving team to be #1 in the 1st poll than the 2008 GAYdogs...they're not that good...they lost to Tenn & S Car in 2007....hello, did the poll voters forget that?

They ALWAYS lose 1 or 2 games to teams they are "supposed" to beat...that's how UGAY rolls...
