I don't see him overreacting at all...Urban is a leader, he builds programs at every stop he's been at, wins fball games and championships. That's what leaders do, they get players to buy in and play at their highest level...what they did last year after what we saw at the PSU game midway through the season...i thought they had zero chance to win the Big Ten and would have bet the farm against they'd win a playoff game and title...

Let me ask you something, if you saw someone now and they commented on horrible you were about an instance 5 years ago...and if you learned from that experience, wouldn't your rebuttal be about how you've learned from the experience, grew as a person and would do things differently today?

Look, all these top coaches have ego's and most of the country don't like them outside of Cbus, Bama, Meechigan...etc. However, if they coached your team and won you'd be quick to change your tune, i know i did...couldn't stand Urban at UF. I don't have a man crush on him, but I respect was he's done and I think he's calmed a bit and now is doing things the right way no matter what...

Cincy he suspended bosa and all of our starting receivers vs Virginia tech. A few years ago he suspended our starting right guard and our Hback after their conduct in the scUM game. Neither started or played significant time vs. Sparty or clemson. You don't need to speculate on how he would handle this if it was a big game.

Ok, I forgot about the scUM incident. As for the VT game, that was not his call, ad VT is hot garbage, so I am not sure I would count that one.

Urban has shown multiple times that he is willing to suspended players regardless of the situation. And whether you want to believe it or not, VT in the opening game at night ON THE ROAD is a big game.

I know that it was sort of a revenge game, but VT was awful last year, and will be lucky to win 5 games this year.

You say that now. Going into the game vatech was healthy, playing at home, at night, in the first game of the season thus there is no time to work out any kinks, and they have a defensive coach that understands how and has the horses to counter our offense. Suspending 5 starters is a BIG deal...especially when you consider one of them is bosa and your resulting receiving core will only have 1 returning starter.

Dude, I said it multiple times before the game as well! They are simply not the VT of old, and I am not shocked at all that Beamer is retiring. I also think it would be a mistake to tap Bud Foster as the HC, I think the game has passed him by much like it did with Beamer.

The YOU in that statement isnt necessarily you cincy. The fact is that our game with vatech was a big game and against a team the coaching staff felt they could lose. That is the key here...not what some fans think. Vatech, sparty, and scUM are the three biggest games on our schedule coming into 2015. They were the only three we had a decent chance of losing.

Nowadays, VT isn't healthy and they suck....but none of us could have known that given what they returned.

Gotcha, and I will give them some leeway because you never know how good a team is going to be when you schedule them. Hell, look at my Canes....if a team put us on their scheduled us in 2003 to play 5 years later, we were not even close to the same caliber of team at that time.
