Both out of respect for what they did last year..OH my what a ride ! JT, 12 Gage, BM and Zeeeek all on the field for snap 1. Defend that biatches. Then I think JT gets the nod... What a dilemma... What possible Heisman candidate should I start...

Surprised and pleased if what I just read is true.

Cardale was iffy to play on Friday but is cleared and I believe he will start.

I must admit that I'm surprised. After hearing Kirk talk about it during the game I understand why he might have been picked. As in any big decision you gain some big things w/ him and lose some big things.
Gains: that enormous arm strength and he's insanely difficult to bring down

Losses: The speed option is no more (or should be no more) w/ Cardale as the QB.

Listening to Meyer, he said Cardale was in the lead the entire off season for the starting job and JT caught up and almost overtook him. Cardale also said he didn't know he won the starting job until he was told to take the field immediately before the 1st series.

This is one of those decision that Meyer couldn't get wrong. We win w/ either QB. Hopefully our coaching staff will coach to Cardale's strengths and not try to make him run the offense that JT did as QB. If they wanted that offense they should have named him the QB.

He couldn't get the decision wrong, but they sure were getting the play calling wrong early on. Almost as if they forgot it was Cardale and not JT that was in there. In the end it turned out Braxton Miller was the star.

And that was the craziest thing if you think about it.
